Currently, I am a wife to a Music Minister, called to be a part of the work of God’s kingdom, and committed member to the world of education. I am determined to be a victorious classroom teacher; one who inspires children to succeed not only at school but in life. I will ensure my students, no matter their socioeconomic level, race, or age are given the opportunity to succeed in my classroom and given the tools needed to succeed in the world beyond Room 102. Thankfully, I was raised in a community of people who encouraged me to reach my highest potential. Mediocrity was never an option. I vow to work unending hours creating differentiated lessons, creating an environment of acceptance where one is welcomed to be an individual, and to give my students a taste of a community where they are surrounded by people who encourage and expect their achievement. I am beyond thankful for the culture I was raised in; one that valued God, family, education, and community. My first 23years have forever shaped the woman I am today and the type of educator I aspire to become. Sucess will be experienced by all of the students in Room 102!
"The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires."
